you can’t be alone at a discotheque

As soon as he returns, he calls Kelly to ask her out fort he next weekend.
He’s not missing one opportunity.
...

On the weekend, John picks Kelly up and they go for a stroll in a neighbourhood pack. John tells her how strongly he feels about her, and she replies in kind. They talk for a while and make plans for him to meet her family in the near future.
...

A little later in the evening, John and Kelly are set to have some fun. They decided to go dancing at a local discotheque. You can’t be alone at a discotheque.
...

After the discotheque he takes her home. Outside her apartment building, he says goodnight and says he’ll call her later in the week. Things are progressing as they should.
...

Zwischenzeitlich findet die Verlobung, Hochzeit etc. statt. Die Flitterwochen verbringt man in San Francisco.

After their return all are thinking about their great year, that’s just finishing and the excellent prospects fon an exciting new-year to come. [Englisch Textbook I]

God bless America China!
